UPSC Syllabus for CAPF (AC) Exam 2015: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally released notification for Central Armed Police Force (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2015. Large number of candidates is waiting for UPSC CAPF (AC) recruitment notification. Interested candidates are required to apply online through official website on or before the closing date that is 15th May 2015. Selected of CAPF (AC) is depending on the performance in written Examination, Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests and Interview/ personality test. UPSC has decided to conduct written examination. Before start the preparation for UPSC CAPF examination 2015 candidates are required to know the syllabus and pattern of UPSC.

Syllabus & Pattern for UPSC CAPF written test Paper I:
Part I is Objective type multiple choice questions for 250 marks. Questions in these papers will be covered General Ability and Intelligence topics such as General Mental Ability, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India, Indian and World Geography and etc. Commission will evaluate the Paper II when candidates get qualifying marks in Paper I only. Candidates are required to complete examination in 2 hours duration only.
Syllabus & Pattern UPSC CAPF for written test Paper II:
Paper II is descriptive type test and candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi. Paper II is comprising into two parts Part A and Part B. Part A contains topics like Essay questions such as modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability. Maximum marks for part A is 80. Part B contains topics like Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/ language skills for 120 marks. Total Paper II carries 200 marks. Candidates are required to complete Paper II examination in 3 hours duration only.
PST/ PET/ Medical Examination:
Candidates who will get qualify ion written examination invited for PET/ PST and Medical Test. Those candidates who meet the prescribed Physical standards will be put through PET.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- 100 meters race in 16 seconds (18 seconds for female)
- 800 meters race in 3 minutes 45 seconds (4 minutes 45 seconds for female)
- Long jump 3.5 meters (3 meters for female) in 3 chances
- Shot put (7.26 kgs) 4.5 meters
Candidates who will qualify in PET will be undergoing with medical standards test as per UPSC standards. Candidates who will satisfy the medical standards will be invited for interview/ personality test.
Interview/ personality test:
Interview test will be concocted for 150 marks. Candidates who are shortlisted for interview will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces. Final selection will be done based on the marks obtained in written examination and personal interview.
