UPPSC Syllabus of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) posts 2015: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) had released an employment notification for the recruitment of 372 Assistant Prosecution Officer posts in UPPSC. UPPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Exam pattern 2015

The exam will consist of two phases such as Preliminary exam and Main exam. The candidates who will be secured a minimum cut off marks they will be appeared in the main examination. The preliminary exam will be of 150 objective type questions with duration of 2 hours. The UPPSC APO preliminary exam syllabus will be based on General Knowledge and Law.

Preliminary Exam

Part-1 (Total No. of Question-50 on General Knowledge)

It will Include day to day happenings around India and the World with special reference to :-

(a) General Science: 8 questions

(b) Current Events of National and International Importance: 10 questions

(c) History of India: 8 questions

(d) Indian National Movement: 8 questions

(e) Indian Polity & Economy: 8 questions

(f) World Geography and Population: 8 questions

Candidates are expected to have general awareness about the above topics

Part-II (Total No. of Question-100 on Law):-

It will cover the following Acts and Law with No. of question indicated as under:-

  1. Indian Penal Code: 35 questions
  2. Indian Evidence Act.: 25 questions
  3. Criminal Procedure Code: 25 questions
  4. U.P. Police Act. And Regulations under this Act. : 15 questions

Main Exam

The UPPSC APO Main exam pattern will consist of 4 paper and it will be subjective type questions. Each paper consist 100 marks and UPPSC APO Main exam syllabus which is mentioned below.

  1. General Knowledge: 100 Marks
  2. General Hindi: 100 Marks

(Question Paper will be High School Standard)

  1. Criminal Law & Procedure: 100 Marks

(Police Act & Regulations of Law Degree Standard)

  1. Law of Evidence: 100 Marks
