NEST Exam 2015 Eligibility Criteria Syllabus and Exam Pattern


We are here presenting updated information about NEST Exam Syllabus Pattern and Eligibility Criteria in brief. National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is compulsory test for the students who are interesting to study in the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and university of Mumbai and department of atomic energy center for excellence in basic science (UM-DAE CBS). Every year NEST is conducting the examination for the young and talented students, this year also it has released the exam notification and so many candidates are going started registration and the application process goes for around the 2 months and admit card for the examination will be release from mid April 2015.

NEST Exam 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

The students who want to admission in to NISER for integrated courses, that they should have qualified in 12th or XII in any biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics in any discipline from science stream from any recognized university with at least 60% aggregate in case of general and OBC candidates and for SC/ST candidates at least 55% aggregate in their XII standard then they will be applicable for the NEST admission test 2015, thus those students should have the certain age limit for the NEST examination candidates should born on or after the July 15th 1995. And age relaxation applicable for 5 years candidates belonging to SC/ST/PW.

NEST 2015 Exam Syllabus and Pattern:

The question paper will comprises of 5 (five) sections of objective type multiple choice questions and 60 marks in each section with duration of exam will be of 3 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer and with leaving any question. Section 1 is the general section and is compulsory for all candidates. There will be no negative marking in general section. Sections 2 through 5 will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Candidates are permitted to attempt as many subject-sections as they wish. However, only the best three subject-scores along with the score in the general section will be counted for evaluation and merit list preparation.

NEST 2015 Exam Syllabus:

This is not a detailed familiarity with the meaning of section tests the candidate, astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, computer science, environmental science major historical milestones in the areas. Questions will be designed to test analytic abilities and comprehension of scientific passages. Some of the questions in this section may require knowledge of class X mathematics.
