JEE Main 2015 Syllabus Exam Pattern & Eligibility Criteria


Hello Aspirants, we came up with good news for candidates who are waiting for JEE Main Notification. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released notification for 3rd JEE Main for the academic year 2015- 16. Enormous number of aspirants who are waiting for this advertisement and those can proceed to apply for JEE Main through online from official website. Online registration is effective from November 7 2014. JEE Main Examination is conducted by CBSE from 2013. Prior to that AIEEE was conducted in the place of JEE. Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is conducted to offer Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IITs and CFITs. Candidates who are seeking admissions in the above prestigious colleges will appear for this examination. Aspirants who are willing to apply for JEE Main Examination must ensure the following eligibility.

JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

  • General candidates who born on or after October 1, 1990 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2015 Exam and 5 years of age relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST and PWD candidates (i.e., those must be born on or before October 1, 1985).
  • Aspirants who have passed their Class 12th Exam or equivalent in 2013 or 2014 or equivalent qualifying examination in 2015 are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2015.
  • Number of attempts which one can attempt JEE is limited to 03 (Three)

JEE Main Exam 2015

JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern:

JEE Main 2015 will have two papers, wherein Paper I is for B.E/ B.Tech and Paper II is for B.Arch/ B.Planning. Based on the candidate interest one can take Paper I or II or both. Paper I is conducted in offline (Pen and Paper Based) or Online (Computer Based Exam) wherein Paper II is only pen and paper based exam. Paper I comprises three sections with total 90 questions, 30 from each. Examination is objective type with Physics, Mathematics and Mathematics. Each question carries four marks and there shall be 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer.

Paper 2 includes three parts, in which Part I is having 30 questions from Mathematics, Paper II having 50 questions form Aptitude. Paper III Drawing Test in questions are given to test drawing aptitude. 2 questions shall be asked with a total of 70 marks

Syllabus for Paper II (B.Arch & B.Planning):

Part – I: Texture related to Architecture and builds environment, Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects,. Visualizing 3D objects from 2D drawings, Visualizing different sides of 3D objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal)

Part – II: Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms, Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urban scape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles. gardens, trees, plants etc.) and rural life building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil, Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects,  Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, substraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects.
